Conventional Medicine and Natural Remedies: 2 of a pair of wings

There are hardcore Natural Remedies enthusiast who will shun conventional medicine (as practiced by holders of M.D. (medical doctor) or what some refer to as Western medicine). I am currently helping a quadriplegic with his blog who became one because of a very serious accident. Would any hardcore Natural Remedies enthusiast tell me how Natural Remedies can help such a person involved in an accident and sustaining very serious injury?

Perhaps Natural Remedies can come in later like when he is dealing with chronic pain, but in the initial aftermath of the accident, Natural Remedies cannot do anything for him. Only conventional medicine (surgery, etc.) can help him recover from his serous injuries.

For me, I would like to think of Natural Remedies and conventional medicine as 2 components of a pair of wings. They can complement each other. Conventional medicine has begun to adopt what some Natural Remedies advocates have been pushing all along. For example, nutrition has mostly been neglected in medical schools, relegated probably as a mention in passing. But look at this post: Landmark legislation on nutrition (click BACK button to get back to this page). New Mexico's State Senate have introduced in January 31 a bill that would emphasise nutrition education in schools, universities, medical schools and the use of nutrition-based PREVENTION in healthcare.

I attended a talk organized by OCBC (Oversea Chines Banking Corporation) for their Premier customers by a Dr. Lim Hua An, M.D. He divided his talk into 3 parts - Nutrition, colon cleansing, and the 3rd part I can't remember. He started off his talk with the exact quotation I have in the blog description - "Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food. He also said the same thing as what I mentioned in my post (above) published much earlier, that more and more medical school have started teaching nutrition. I also asked him. Of all the three, which one is more important. He said "nutrition". He said if you get your nutrition right, the rest will follow.

There will be time when conventional medicine cannot help you. In fact, that was exactly what was told to a blog reader of mine (Australian) who suffered from chronic pain. She had to turn to alternative medicine (or Natural Remedies). In the same vein, there will be cases where Natural Remedies will not be able to help with your medical conditions, and you may have to take conventional medicine.

Now that conventional medicine is taking nutrition and other forms of Natural Remedies, it is my hope that Natural Remedies enthusiast will not dismiss conventional medicine outright without weighing the merits of either.

There may be cases where it is difficult or impossible to get the conventional medicine you need. Cases like you are old and incapacitated and there is no one to help you go to the pharmacy to get it for you. Or your country may only offer generic form of the medicine you need when you want the original. In cases like these, an escrow service that helps connect you with worldwide fully licensed pharmacies like Online Canadian Pharmacy Escrow Service will help greatly to get the required medicine delivered right to your doorstep. Plus they claim that you can save from 40% to 90% off the medications!

While this service is available worldwide, if you are fortunate enough to live in Canada, Online Canadian Pharmacy Escrow Service is now offering Free Shipping For Life when buying Drugs from any of their licensed Pharmacies.

Plus they have a kind of Lowest Price Guarantee. They say that if you can find a lower price at any Canadian or Online Pharmacy, all you have to do is to give them a call and we will try to match or beat it.

However, do your research and find out more about the medications you are taking. Your doctor may not have the time to explain all that you need to know about the medication. With the Internet, it is not hard to do.
